I often have people visit who have unusual pieces of wood that they think I might want. They are usually right!  I wasn’t sure about this big lump of dirty timber until I took the plunge and had it sawn up, but it’s worked out well, I’m fairly sure it’s Movingue, a sort of false Satinwood, and rather pleasant to work with. We’ve made this guitar for the customer who brought the wood, which is right and proper.
